System Boilers
System Boilers are a condensing type, and although some are referred to as Heat Only boilers because they only heat the water needed for the central heating system, most provide hot water for taps too.
They work by using a copper cylinder, and the system is known as sealed. This is because the water remains within the cylinder and pipe work, and is only used to power the central heating.
One of the great advantages of a System Boiler, is that the major components are housed within the boiler itself, giving it superb space utilization properties. They can be compact and be installed in areas not usually accessible for boilers. Feed and expansion tanks are also not needed, so the whole system is far more contained and easy to install.
Nor will such a system cost as much as others to purchase, or install, and there are less components to service and maintain.
Another plus point is that unlike Combi Boilers, this type of boiler is less dependent on water pressure, so if you live in an area which cannot maintain a constant pressure, this system is a consideration. You might also welcome the fact that the they take up less room with their installation.
Furthermore, the system incorporates a pump, which means that the hot water is efficiently sent around the system.
